Short answer: before you pay for a camera in Pakistan, ask the seller who provides the warranty, how long it lasts, what it excludes and how a claim works, then make sure you receive an invoice and any warranty card that matches the serial number on the camera.
Questions to ask before you pay
- Who provides the warranty: the seller, a local distributor or the manufacturer?
- How long does it last, and from which date?
- What is excluded? Many warranties exclude physical or water damage and unauthorised repairs.
- Where do you take the camera for a claim, and who pays for shipping?
Documents to keep
- Your invoice showing the model, serial number, date and price.
- Any warranty card or certificate supplied with the camera.
- Photos of the box label and serial number.
Warranty and without-warranty prices at Affan Tech
Where a camera is offered both ways, such as the Sony a7 V, the two versions and their prices are shown on one product page. The 1 Year Warranty version costs more because it includes cover; the without-warranty version is cheaper but you carry the repair risk.
